February 6, 2008
December and mid january had quite a lot of goodbyes and a lot of rest time. Time to collect thoughts and work and time to spend with my family. I said goodbye to my favorite spot in the country, the beach. Well the Philippines has so many beaches so it was the beach and the sun in general I was saying bye to for now.

Coming over to London, the weather didn't hit me as hard as I thought it would. The cold was sharp but not a killer so I'm glad for that. The nicest change here is being able to observe people who come from such foreign places, I myself come from a country not many people are familiar with. It's a place full of stories and though for the most part I'm just observing people walking by me, it's nice to listen to their stories and their little struggles and triumphs. I'm motivated once again to create portraits.
I read somewhere that it takes curiosity, passion and talent to be successful in something. Maybe I read it in the lastest business book I got. I can't remember. I keep questioning myself on all three.
I have a new little camera now and I do get carried away with it sometimes, clicking multiple times at the same thing and keeping all the files. I produce so much more than people have the capacity to view. Most of us are getting like that I think. Sometimes I wonder if it's worth bothering at all... art.. all this art. The number of images overwhelm the number of walls we have that can hang up these images. Too many images that irritates our heads.
But then I think back to all the people I have met and they give me hope that maybe I can continue doing what I do for them. "man for others" my philosophy teachers told me year in and year out and it still echos strong and loud. When my mind is focused on that I am rejuvinated and ready once again to create something new.
